Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver the curriculum, in collaboration with the deputy manager and other staff
- Supervise and support nursery staff, including the deputy manager
- Manage the nursery budget
- Maintain a safe and healthy environment
- Liaise with parents and carers
- Represent the nursery to the local community
- Develop and implement new initiatives to improve the quality of care and education
- Oversee the recruitment and selection of new staff
- Manage the nursery’s marketing and public relations
- Attend and contribute to professional development activities
Qualifications:
- Level 3 or above childcare qualification
- At least 3 years of experience working in a nursery setting
- Strong understanding of child development
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Patience, resilience, and a love of children
